Jonas Ranstam PhD
Jonas Ranstam is a former professor of medical statistics, specialised in randomised clinical trials and chronic disease epidemiology. He is engaged as an editor and statistical reviewer for a large number of international scientific medical journals, and has in Slate, STAT, The Scientist, and Scholastica been described as "the world's most prolific peer reviewer".
In addition to this website, Jonas Ranstam blogs about statistical reviewing. The Statistical Reviewer blog presents personal comments on statistical issues in manuscripts submitted to scientific medical journals and grant applications. The blog includes references to published literature on the prevalence of statistical mistakes. A separate database with literature refences, useful when reviewing and revising manuscripts, is also maintained.
